Following the introduction of CDM 2015 we are offering the role of CDM Adviser to Clients Principal Designers and Principal Contractors. We have developed a concise scope of service which aims to assist and support the duty holders as they discharge their duties.

Principal Designer

We are able to offer the Role of Principal Designer as defined in the CDM Regulations 2015. Our PII extends to cover this role.

Project Management & Project Liaison

In recent times SkW have provided support to clients in the management of designers and procurement advice creating clear and attainable project objectives, building the project requirements, and supporting other members of the design team to manage the constraints of time cost quality and scope.

Health & Safety Management

SkW can review and help develop safety management systems, with the development of effective health and safety policies, procedures and systems of work. The development of Risk assessments - workplace and work activity, manual handling, DSE and CoSHH to suit your company’s undertakings. We also undertake site &/or workplace inspections and audits to identify both strengths, best practice and provide recommendations for development.

We provide proactive health & safety advice and can assist Principal Contractors in the Preparation of full and specific Construction Phase H&S Plans in conjunction with the project management team, taking account of the specific build, inherent hazards and risks.

Reviews of contractor Risk Assessment, Method Statements and general safe systems of work.

SSIP Accreditation Assistance

CHAS, Safe Contractor, Achilles, Acclaim and many more accreditation bodies are registered under the SSIP to certify the competence of design consultants and contractors. There are over 50 approved accreditation bodies.

These accreditations demonstrate your company’s commitment to Health and Safety, and that you meet the minimum standards required by Appendix 4 of the CDM Regulations 2007. Developers, clients, government departments, public bodies, large contractors and many others who procure design and construction utilise these accreditation services when making selections for service delivery on their projects.
